Marching Towards Excellence: NCC for Class XI Girls

The academic session 2025-26 marked a glorious and inspiring milestone in the history of our school with the introduction of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) for Class XI Girls under the prestigious UP 3 Girls Battalion (Senior Division). This remarkable achievement has filled the entire school community with immense pride, honour, and enthusiasm, symbolising a significant step towards empowering young girls through discipline, leadership, courage, and patriotism.
A proud and memorable moment arrived in July 2025, when our school officially received the allotment of the 3 Girls Battalion (Senior Division) NCC. This historic accomplishment opened new horizons of growth, learning, and opportunity for our students and reflected the school's strong commitment towards holistic education, character building, and nation-building.

A total of 26 enthusiastic girl cadets enrolled in this prestigious programme, embarking upon a transformative journey of self-discipline, confidence, teamwork, leadership, and national service. Under the dedicated guidance of the C.T.O., Mrs. Tanu Sharma Ma'am, along with the continuous support and training of the committed P.I. Staff, the cadets are being moulded into confident, responsible, and capable young leaders of tomorrow.
The NCC training programme includes parade drills, marching, physical training, map reading, first aid, theory classes, weapon training, and advanced drill practice. These rigorous activities not only strengthen physical fitness and mental alertness but also instil the values of discipline, responsibility, unity, dedication, leadership, and patriotism. Through practical exposure and continuous guidance, the cadets are also prepared for camps, parades, competitions, and various prestigious NCC activities at higher levels.

One of the most remarkable achievements of the year was when 7 girl cadets from our school appeared for the selection trials of the prestigious IGC Camp — and all seven were successfully selected. This extraordinary accomplishment brought immense honour and recognition to the school and reflected the exceptional dedication, talent, confidence, and excellence of our cadets. Their achievement stands as a shining example of determination, discipline, and hard work.

NCC also opens the gateway to outstanding opportunities for higher education and future career advancement, especially in the defence sector. After successfully qualifying the examinations, cadets are awarded the highly prestigious Certificate 'B', which carries immense value and recognition. NCC cadets are also given special advantages in defence-related careers and competitive examinations.
The Ministry of Defence further supports cadets by providing a Uniform Allowance directly to their zero-balance bank accounts, encouraging participation and ensuring accessibility for all deserving students. Cadets are also encouraged to participate in prestigious events such as IGC and RDC, where they get opportunities to showcase their excellence in drawing, art, cultural performances, firing, drill competitions, and various other activities at district, state, and national levels.

Beyond discipline and leadership, NCC nurtures the spirit of social responsibility and environmental awareness. Our cadets actively participated in a tree plantation drive, spreading awareness about environmental conservation and promoting the importance of a greener, cleaner, and healthier future. Such meaningful initiatives inspire students to become socially aware and responsible citizens dedicated to serving society and the nation.
To encourage dedication, discipline, and excellence, the honour of Best Cadet of the Year will also be awarded, motivating cadets to strive for outstanding performance and leadership qualities.

The introduction of NCC for girls is not merely a new addition to the school — it is a proud symbol of empowerment, courage, discipline, and national spirit. It stands as a glorious milestone in our journey towards nurturing fearless, confident, disciplined, and future-ready young women who are prepared to lead with honour, serve with dedication, and bring pride to the nation.
